Family Guest House is conveniently located in a nice residential area not too far from the city. It is just a few minutes' walk to a main street where there are lots of stores. The surrounding region is peaceful and quiet, offering a relaxing atmosphere for guests. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and clean white sheets. The bathroom has both cold and warm water, providing a comfortable shower experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist guests with their needs. the hotel offers free coffee or tea throughout the day, allowing guests to enjoy a hot beverage at any time.

Some rooms may lack natural light due to the location next to the wall of a neighboring building.

Almost the same as a hotel but still lack of certain facilities and tools such as hair-dryer, tables, drawers, lockers, toothpaste, etc.

Poor wifi connection. I chose family guest house sby because it's wifi access is available at the whole hotel unlike places like Surabaya Plaza Hotel which only have wifi access in lobby areas (not in rooms). During my stay in Family Guest House Sby, I often got poor signal and connection in my room using my iPhone for wifi access. It frustrates me as I do not want to leave my room just to go out the lobby for wifi facilities. I hope the management will improve on this aspect, to have a better wifi system for guests like me.

I had a great stay at this hotel. the price was very affordable, making it excellent value for money. Secondly, the staff were wonderful and provided excellent service. Lastly, the location in a nice residential area not too far from the city was very convenient.

All in all, everything was okay and there was nothing that could be improved.

Spent Christmas at a budget hotel close to a train station and had a great time! The location was convenient for exploring the area, and the staff, though not fluent in English, were friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the big, clean rooms with comfortable beds and ample hot water. The included breakfast was a great perk, especially the local dishes that we got to try.

While the hotel was a good value, the overall decor was a bit outdated and could use some sprucing up. , the lack of English-speaking staff made it a bit challenging to communicate at times, but we were able to get by with a bit of patience and creativity.

The staff are very kind. (though they look shy as other Indonesian are) They clean guest's room everyday and provide us water, coffee, tea for free. As for breakfast, you can have bread, fried rice(nasi goreng) and soup noodle which will be cooked after order. Delicious!

These are up to your way of thinking. You may find this guest house troublesome because some of the staffs barely speak English and others don't. You should also know that most of the guests are Indonesian (who appear to be fine). You may not feel cozy because you have to leave your key to reception every time you leave the hotel. To speak some Indonesian is a tip to enjoy this guest house.

We stayed at Hotel Sulawesi, Family's sister hotel as they had overbooked but provided a free shuttle. It was Clean, with adequate facilities and very reasonable value for money.

A family of 4 that were crammed into the double room next door to us, whereby the baby was screaming for a lot of the night!

Finding the hotel can be a bit challenging, so make sure to have a map for the taxi driver. the parking area can be limited, especially on weekends, so you may have to park outside the building.
